Sports Betting and bonus hunting,

Bonus hunting and sports betting

It sounds rather negative, bonus hunting in general, so what about sportsbetting and hunting for bonuses? Can you make some profit from bonus hunting at online sportsbooks and bookmakers? That's the question we received from one of our subscribers at Mobile Casino Play. We try with this article to give an answer.

First of all this introduction: bonuses are offered to new casino players. It is free casino money, so don't expect a large sum of cash. On the contrary: while visiting several sportsbetting sites, you will discover that the welcome bonuses (i.e. free bets) given to new bettors are generally very, very small! On top of this, there is usually a wagering requirement that makes it no that easy to guarantee players some profit. We illustrate this statement with 3 examples of promotions currently running on Bwin.

The first promo: €5 FreeBet!
Details: the minimum deposit is €10 AND the deposit must be made using one of the following deposit methods etc. (so not all deposit methods are accepted, i.e. NO Neteller, NO Skrill, etc.)
The second promotion: €20 Casino Bonus when you bet on Tennis today!
Details: Simply wager a total of €50 in tennis bets today and you’ll receive a reward worth €20 to use anywhere within our casino! You must be an existing player; €20 bonus to be used on the casino section; the bonus must be wagered 30 times in order to be withdrawn; amount to EUR 50 stake minimum in one day.
The third running promotion: Place 5 live single bets per day and get a daily FreeBet worth up to €25!

Details: a minimum of 5 bets must be placed, the minimum stake amount per bet must be €5, the minimum odds per bet must be 1.50.

That been said, yes, you can make money with bonus hunting on sportsbetting but ... whether it's worthwhile we doubt strongly.

What we tried out is the following, and this is legal!: we claimed a sign up bonus with a (soccer) sportsbetting website. We place a 2-way bet (which means a bet with 2 possible outcomes, for example 'over 2 goals') at Sportsbook A.

Of course we met the required wagers. At the same time, we placed the opposite wagers at another bookmaker, claiming NO bonus. So, a bet on the opposite output 'under 2 goals).

Tip 1: it is even better to use so-called 'sure bets'; where the odds are higher than 2.0 on both sides. The result of our betting: on side A we will win our bet, on side B we will lose our bet or or vice versa. At one of the two bookmakers, we will win our bet and clear the bonus, so we will end up with some profit.

Tip 2: at some sportsbooks you can even cash out a part of your money before the bonus/WR conditions are met. If we do this, we play not with a large amount of money!

Another 'word' for this sort of betting is also called 'Sure Bets sportsbetting or 'sure bets'. This sounds anyway more positive than sportsbetting bonus hunting!

How to access a sportsbettor from a restricted country?

We have heard that it is possible to use a VPN Client/Proxy, i.e. HOLA. To do this, you have to find someone who lives in a country where you can legally sign up for the betting exchange. To verify the validity of their account they will need a legit Passport and bank statement. So you have to 'borrow' these documents from a very reliable person, and then you might be able to play in restricted countries. This is not illegal but there are hooks and eyes on it. We do not cry hallelujah.
